From time to time Councils have to renew their Local Plans. This is becoming more frequent and at the same time development targets are increasing so Council’s need to find more land to deliver on those targets. To find enough land, Council’s will put out a ‘call for sites’, giving landowners the opportunity to put their sites forward for consideration for allocation in the new local plan.

Having land allocated in a local plan gives certainty as to its future use and can significantly increase its value and make it more attractive to potential buyers and developers.
