Appeals

If your planning application has been refused then we will review the project for you and assess whether there is a case that permission should have been granted.

We will recommend an appeal only where we think this is the best solution for getting the right decision, and where we think there is a good prospect for a successful outcome.

There may be occasions where we think that an amended scheme and/or a differently argued case will be likely to get a more favourable response from the Council. This will normally be quicker than going straight to appeal.

Sometimes though, we just have to agree to disagree with the Council and the next step is to prepare and submit a planning appeal. These are decided by Planning Inspector’s on behalf of the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities & Local Government, so are independent from the Council.

If your planning application has been refused, feel free to give us a call to see if we can help you overturn the decision.
